India, officially the Republic of India (हिन्दी: भारत गणराज्य Bhārat Gaṇarājya,Kannada ಭಾರತ ಗಣರಾಜ್ಯ, Marathi भारत">भारतीय प्रजासत्ताक, Punjabi ਭਾਰਤ ਗਣਤੰਤਰ, Sanskrit भारतम्">भारत गणराज्यम्, Sindhi भारत गणराज्य, ڀارت، هندستانڀارت, Tamil இந்தியக் குடியரசு, Telugu Kashmiri ہِندوستا), is a country in South Asia. It is the seventh-largest country by geographical area, the second-most populous country, and the most populous democracy in the world. Bounded by the Indian Ocean on the south, the Arabian Sea on the west, and the Bay of Bengal on the east, India has a coastline of 7,517 kilometres (4,700 mi). It is bordered by Pakistan to the west; People's Republic of China, Nepal, and Bhutan to the north; and Bangladesh and Myanmar to the east. India is in the vicinity of Sri Lanka, the Maldives, and Indonesia in the Indian Ocean.
Here's a picture of the Indian national flag(tricolor)

The National flag is a horizontal tricolour of deep saffron (kesari) at the top, white in the middle and dark green at the bottom in equal proportion.

The ratio of width of the flag to its length is two to three. In the centre of the white band is a navy blue wheel which represents the chakra. Its design is that of the wheel which appears on the abacus of the Sarnath Lion Capital of Ashoka. Its diameter approximates to the width of the white band and it has 24 spokes.

The design of the national flag was adopted by the Constituent Assembly of India on 22 July 1947. Its use and display are regulated by the Indian Flag Code.
